Week #6 of Weekly Women Entrepreneurship

Welcome to Week #6 of Weekly Women Entrepreneurship

Next week on Montclair State University’s virtual campus we’ll focus on ventures Started at School. We’ll meet and learn from female founders who began their businesses or nonprofits while students.

Our featured founder is Lia Winograd, Co-Founder/COO of Pepper. A former management consultant from McKinsey & Co, Lia Winograd started Pepper, an unapologetic brand specifically for women with small boobs, starting with bras - while she was a student at NYU’s Stern School of Business, with her co-founder Jaclyn Fu. Traditional bra brands have created crazy aspirational body standards that are impossible for most to achieve. It's no wonder women today have trouble feeling confident with their body. Pepper started with bras, but they’re building so much more. The Small Squad is Pepper’s community of more than 1,300 women banding together, celebrating each other, and conquering body stereotypes once and for all.

We’re also excited to introduce you to Nicole Nuzzolo, a Senior at Montclair State University and Caroline Marinari, a Junior at Montclair State University, and together they are involved in the founding of Carpe Art, a digital platform bridging a connection between student and alumni artists with interested buyers. Curated by Patricia Selden, an exhibition of Carpe Art is currently on display at MSU’s Montclair Innovation Lab until November 6th, 2020.

Whether you’re an undergraduate or graduate student, a seasoned entrepreneur or a lifelong learner, we hope you enjoy content from around the world this week.
